Weather permitting, unbeaten St. Benilde guns for its third straight win at the expense of dangerous Philippine Christian University today in the NCAA seniors basketball tournament at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.
The Blazers posted a thrilling 74-72 victory over defending champion San Sebastian last week for their second victory in as many games. But they are expected to encounter some rough sailing in the 4 p.m. encounter against the Dolphins.
Showing a big fighting heart, the Dolphins bounced back from an opening-day loss to stun Letran, 67-56, last Friday before the league was forced to postpone the last two playdates due to the continuous rains that flooded some parts of the metropolis.
The other seniors match pitting Perpetual Help against Jose Rizal College is set at 2 p.m. The Altas and the Heavy Bombers are in a heavy six-way tie for second at 1-1 along with PCU, San Sebastian, Mapua and Letran. Host San Beda is down at 0-2. Noli Cruz
