Golf tourney marks 55th Air Force Day

An 18-hole Celebrity Golf Classic will be held today at the Villamor golf course in conjunction with the celebration of the 55th Air Force Day.

Tee-off time is 5:30 a.m. Players will be classified into A-B-C categories.

A champion and two runners-up will be chosen in each category. Special awards will also be handed out for the longest drive, most accurate drive, nearest the pin and the longest putt. Air Force Chief Lt. Gen. Benjamin Defensor Jr and Colonel Jaime Viernes Jr. will personally hand out awards to the day’s winners.

Fellowship and cocktails will precede the awarding ceremony at the PAF Officers Club, VGC. Entertainment numbers and prizes will be drawn before the announcement of the day’s winners. After the remarks of General Defensor, a major raffle draw with bigger prizes will be held for the attendees.

Meanwhile, Air Force Team A topped the third CG-PAF Football Cup held June 29-30. Top football teams that saw action in Protacio Park in Villamor Air Base participated.
