June 30, 2002 | 12:00am
LBC Batangas and Gilbeys Olongapo switch opponents today as they try to break their share of the lead in the North division of the MBA National Conference at the Lipa Youth and Cultural Center.
The Blades battle the Pampanga Stars at 3:30 p.m. following the Volunteers-Osaka Pangasinan Waves tussle at 1 p.m. The Blades and the Volunteers carry 3-2 records.
Back at the confines of their home, the Blades are seeking revenge over the Stars, who dealt them a 90-86 beating on June 22 at the Bren Guiao Convention Center in San Fernando City, Pampanga.
That time, only Jeffrey Sanders, Alex Compton and Ralph Rivera drilled in twin digits for the Blades. In contrast the Stars have five players VJ Cruz, Dave Bautista, Billy Bansil, Paeng Santos and Roland Pascual in double figures.
The Blades, however, have rebounded with back-to-back victories over the Volunteers (90-87) and the Waves (91-86).
The Volunteers, on the other hand, averted a skid of whipping the Stars, 102-90, Friday night at their homecourt.
