Medvil leads winners in Minda leg

Football teams Medvil, M’lang and DRAHS struck hard and scored identical 1-0 victories over their respective rivals to dominate the second Mindanao leg of the first Adidas lightning football competition held in Davao City over the weekend.

Medvil nipped Davao United, 1-0, to top the Open category. M’lang outlasted Davao Youth, 1-0, to win in the Under-19 division. Daniel R. Aguinaldo High School defeated Crossing Bayabas, 1-0, to rule the Under-15 class.

The Mindanao winners secured berths in the highly-anticipated national finals slated on June 30 at the Ateneo de Manila.

The first adidas lightning football is supported by Fuji films, Dream Broadcasting, 89.9 DWTM and McDonald’s in cooperation with WG&A Zip, Hotel Intercontinental Manila, Zed, HSBC, Sony records and 99.5 RT.
