LBC bounces back, routs Pangasinan

SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga LBC Batangas bounced back from its opening day loss with a 96-77 rout of Osaka Pangasinan yesterday in the MBA National Conference at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center here.
The Blades, beaten by the Gilbeys Olongapo Volunteers (95-92) on Saturday, showed much better form against the Waves as they controlled the game from the start.
Alex Compton and Peter Martin led the Blades surge in the second half and were joined by Eddie Laure and Jeffrey Sanders in the firing end.
Compton wound up with 22 points and nine assists while Martin finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds and one block to share best player honors for the reignng national champions. Sanders chipped in 19 points and Laure aded 17.
