Richie Garcia led an expected Bacolod South sweep of the two major titles in the just-concluded southern leg of the Rotary Golfing Fellowship Foundation of the Philippines (RGFFP) in Bacolod City.
Fresh from winning the national seniors title at Riviera, former Philippine sports commissioner Garcia added the low gross title of the RGFFP tourney to his collection this year with a two-under-par effort for 36 holes at his Marapara home course and the Binitin layout.
Garcias big effort enabled Bacolod South also made up of Renier Gerochi, Rey Soliven, Frederick Akeley and Philip Dabao to win by six points over the Francis Gaston-led Bacolod Marapara 2 with a 304 total.
Nestor Sevilla of RC Parañaque South was the overall net champion of the event sponsored chiefly by Taylor Made Adidas, PLDT, Cebu Pacific and Casino Filipino, LFisher Hotel and RGFFP chairman Bimbo Salazars La Salle Bacolod High School Batch 67.
