Ellen Ramos upset elimination round top seed Lippy Uy to bag the Powerbowl Perfect 300 Challenge title at the Power Plant Mall in Rockwell Center Saturday.
Seeded sixth entering the playoffs, Ramos won pulling away, 209-183, in the finals of the meet sponsored by Prudential Guarantee, Windows Café, PLDT, Lockheed Group, Philippine-Sundt, Boysen, Hi-Integra, Summa Kumagai Inc., Burgoo and Dish.
The win was worth P150,000 worth of gift certificates for Ramos while Uy settled for the P70,000 runner-up purse.
Ramos subdued RP Youth stalwart Nico Valderrama, 256-213, in the semifinals while Uy beat Trixie de Luna, another Youth mainstay, in the other Final Four pairings, 202-196, to set up the championship meeting.
