PBL twist to old Ateneo-La Salle

La Salle and Ateneo renew their rivalry today under corporate banners, while Ana Freezers, riding high on a three-game winning streak, takes on Shark Energy Drink in the PBL Chairman’s Cup at the Makati Coliseum.

The Archers, backed by ICTSI and joint leader with Kutitap Toothpaste at 4-1, and the Eagles, supported by Hapee and Negros Navigation, collide at 6 p.m. The Freezer Kings take on the Power Boosters at 4 o’clock.

Ana Freezers, behind Ronald Tubid, Dondon Mendoza and spitfire Paul Artadi, have won their last three games after dropping their first two assignments this conference.

Focus, however, will still fall on the game between Ateneo and La Salle, the country’s most popular collegiate squads who figured in a classic and emotional UAAP finals last year.
