Though entrenched at the top 4, Red Bull would not leave anything to chance and was lucky enough to find a replacement for the injured Julius Nwosu.
The Photokina franchise tapped Tony Lang, fresh from a stint in the recently-concluded Japanese pro tourney, to replace Nwosu who left for home last night to have his back injury treated and rehabilitated.
Lang, who powered the Thunder to their conquest of the San Miguel Beermen in the Commissioners Cup title playoff last year, is to plane in today. He suits up for Red Bull against the Coca-Cola Tigers April 4.
Lang won the Best Import award in his first tournament in the PBA. He averaged 25 points in 21 games.
The Thunder suffered a ghastly rout at the hands of the Beermen Friday at La Salle Sentrum in Lipa City with Nwosu playing hurt. N. Beltran
