RP-Japan tourney slated

The third monthly Philippine-Japan Goodwill Challenge, a tournament for Filipino golfers and their Japanese counterparts, will be held tomorrow at the Canlubang Golf and Country Club’s north course.

Prizes are at stake for the low net in the Philippine and Japanese categories, overall team champion and individual champions in both the men’s and women’s classes.

There are also special prizes for nearest-to-the-pin drives on holes 4, 6, 11 and 15, nearest-to-the-line drive on holes 7 and 13, and nearest the pin on holes 1 and 10.

The team and individual competitions are open to members and guests with established handicaps. Each flight will be composed of four players with a maximum of two Filipino and two Japanese players in each flight.

Entry fee, inclusive of green fee, lunch, giveaways and raffle, is P1,900 for guests. There are no entry fees or green fees for members.
