Guiao heads training staff in Nike clinics

Yeng Guiao, coach of Batang Red Bull which is the leading team in the Samsung-PBA Governors Cup, heads an impressive list of trainors in the 2002 Nike Basketball Camp which will be staged from April 8 to 17 at the RFM Sports Center along Pioneer St. in Mandaluyong City.

Guiao, who steered the Thunder to the championship of last year’s Commissioners Cup, will be joined by Sta. Lucia Realty assistant coach Alfrancis Chua and American consultant Kirk Collier in two separate camps which will be conducted from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.

The Nike Big Men’s Camp, which is on its fifth season, is for registrants standing 5-8 and taller while the Nike Generation Camp, which is on its fourth year, is for boys and girls six years old and above. The Camp is sponsored by RFM Corp., Agfa Color, Olympic Village, Viva Mineral Water, Nike Stadium, The National Sports Grill and High Endurance by Old Spice.

Likewise lending their experience in the camp are national team hopefuls Eric Menk, Danny Seigle, Jeffrey Cariaso, Olsen Racela and Andy Seigle and PBA superstars Alvin Patrimonio, Nic Belasco, Kerby Raymundo, Jun Limpot, Willie Miller, John Arigo and Cris Bolado.
