Top UAAP spikers to invade Nestea beach volleyball

-
Veteran spikers from the prestigious University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) are set to invade the sixth edition of the Nestea Beach Volley University Championships.

With UAAP men’s champion DLSU bannering the field, the Metro Manila leg of the event will serve as a get-together for the Tigers and other UAAP schools such as University of the Philippines, De La Salle University, University of the East, National University, Adamson University and Far Eastern University.

Their mettle will surely be tested against the most energetic beach volley spikers from Metro Manila when the elimination rounds of the largest school-based volleyball tourney fires off on March 9-10 and April 6-7 at the La Salle Green Hills beach volleyball courts.

Survivors in the gruelling elimination round will be flown to Boracay Island for the Championships and the right to earn the titles "Kings and Queens of the Beach" where a whopping champions’ purse of P100,000 and P50,000 worth of sports equipment to their respective schools are at stake.

The battlefield will be tight not only due to the huge response of beach volley aficionados these UAAP schools have to contend with but most of all the harsh terrain they are expected to encounter.

The 6th Nestea Beach Volley University Championships is made possible through the support of Speedo, the official outfitter, Mikasa, Astring-O-Sol Ice, Asian Spirit, WG&A Superferry, Kenny Rogers Roasters, Carl’s Jr. and Villa De Oro in Boracay.
