Cuevas elected new PSA president

Manila Standard sports editor Bert Cuevas was elected new president of the Philippine Sportswriters Association during yesterdays election at the Holiday Inn Hotel.
Cuevas ran unopposed as head of the countrys oldest media organization, succeeding Philippine STAR Lito Tacujan who decided not to seek another term after serving as president for two years.
As per PSA ruling, Cuevas appointed Malaya sports editor Jimmy Cantor as vice president,
Edwin Gabutina of Today as secretary, Peoples Journals Joe Antonio as treasurer and Tribunes Aldrin Cardona as auditor.
Sports editors of the various newspapers were appointed members of the board.
