Kutitap gets back at Blu Detergents

Kutitap Toothpaste avenged its opening day loss to Blu Detergents with an emphatic 83-73 victory in their rematch yesterday in the PBL Challenge Cup at the Makati Coliseum.

It was the third straight upset win for Kutitap Toothpaste after beating Welcoat Paints and La Salle-ICTSI.

Cyrus Baguio, a two-year veteran out of University of Santo Tomas, sizzled with 24 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks, leading the Teeth Sparklers to their eighth win in 14 games.

Welcoat denied La Salle-ICTSI outright entry into the semifinals as it pulled off a 77-70 win in the second game. – Joey Villar
