With total guaranteed prizes of P6 million, the Marho Breeders Cup gathers the best and the promising racing prospects in the juvenile division and the most dominant racers in the older classic division.
Acknowledged as the countrys premier championship, this years Marho Breeders Cup will once again be backed by the countrys premier brew San Miguel Beer which has renewed its commitment to support the event for the fourth straight year.
"Marho and San Miguel Beer have once again joined hands to stage the sixth renewal of the Marho Breeders Cup Series, local racings most keenly awaited championship forum which brings to light the best produce of the local horse breeding industry," noted Marho president and Breeders Cup founder Aristeo Puyat.
Heading the lucrative parade of championship races are the five-division Marho Breeders Cup Races, including the Marho Juvenile Colts, the Marho Juvenile Fillies, the Marho 3-year-old Colts, the Marho 3-year-old Fillies and the Marho Classic for older horses. A sixth championship, the Marho Sprint, has also been scheduled in the blue-ribbon event.
