Lady Falcons force rubber for 2nd finals slot

The Lady Falcons of Adamson University forced a winner-take-all match for the second finals slot by downing University of the Philippines Lady Maroons, 58-48, yesterday in the UAAP Womens basketball tournament at the UST gym.
Game two of their semifinal series is on Sept. 29, at the Ateneo gym, with the winner facing the De La Salle Archers in a best-of-three championship.
The Lady Falcons started the game with a 12-0 run and never relinquished the lead, although the Lady Maroons managed to trim the gap to 44-42 in the 6:55 mark of the third quarter.
The Lady Falcons entered the final two minutes ahead by nine, 54-45, despite the fouling out of top gun Minerva Narciza midway in the fourth canto.
Marites Gadian led all scorers with 16 points while Narciza chipped in 12 points on top of seven rebounds.
