P1M staked for ace in Rotary golf

The search for the next millionaire Rotarian Golfer will continue in Davao City with the staging of the 15th RGFFP Southern Leg golf tournament Sept. 19-23.

Seaboard Eastern Insurance Co., through its president Joe Halili-Co, again stakes P1 million in cash for a hole-in-one.

PDG Oskie de Venecia, chairman of the RGFFP, recalls Rotarians, in past tournaments, who have made ACES – Douglas Yu of RC University District (1987), Dwight Penson of RC Las Piñas (1991), Bernie Jambalos of RC Panday Pira (1992), Victor Villarosa of RC Bacolod-Marapara (1996) and PP Ato Magadia of RC Makati North (1997).

Rotarians from RC Bagumbayan, RC Makati, RC Makati West, RC Makati North, RC Manila, RC Davao West, RC Cebu Port Center, RC Baguio North, and RC Pasig are among the early registrants.

Defending overall champions RC East Rizal and division defending champions RC Carmen Valley West, RC Tacloban, RC Makati Southwest and RC San Juanico are expected to defend their respective titles.
