Fil-Am racefest resumes

Action in the "Fil-Am Friendship Racing Festival" continues tonight with the staging of the P200,000 "Consolidated Insurance Cup" at San Lazaro.

Sponsored by CICI General Insurance Corp., the Cup will highlight the day’s program that also includes eight other evenly-matched races.

"We would like to welcome the entry of the Consolidated Insurance group into our growing list of corporate sponsors and at the same time express our gratitude for their support of our inaugural Fil-Am racefest," said MJCI (Manila Jockey Club Inc.) president Alfonso R. Reyno, Jr.

Ebony Star, Santa Fe, Brenda Star, Nervioso and Win More lead the cast in the 1,425-meter race which also includes Back To Back, Gambatte, Ocean Menary, Snake Dancer, Voltes May and Yoko Lady.

Backing up the day’s main event are three other MJCI special races.
