Literal seeks TRO vs PSC

Quintillano "Tiny" Literal, president of one faction of the Basketball Association of the Philippines (BAP), filed another Temporary Restraining Order at a Manila court yesterday, this time seeking to stop the Philippine Sports Commission from carrying out its eviction order against the cage body from the Rizal Memorial offices.
It was Literals second petition for a TRO in as many weeks, the first one asking the Manila Regional Trial Court to stop the Philippine Olympic Committee-recognized BAP under Lito Puyat from holding the (BAP) elections on June 7.
PSC chairman Carlos Tuason, who received the summon yesterday, said the sports agency will consult with the Office of the Government Corporate Counsel for its opinion on the matter.
"I have to consult with the OGCC first. If it says we have to go on with the eviction order, then the PSC must abide by it," said Tuason, who has implemented the eviction order Tuesday upon the recommendation of the OGCC. Joey Villar
