Red Bull cagers robbed in hotel

The very first PBA official visit in Malolos Saturday proved to be disastrous for Red Bull.

The Thunder suffered a double-whammy in the historic Bulacan capital town as they absorbed an 85-95 beating at the hands of the Sta. Lucia Realtors in their game at the CEU Centrodome then fell victims to burglars at the Barcie International Center inside the University of Regina.

Four rooms assigned to the Red Bull team in the seven-month-old hotel cum conference center were ransacked by thieves with the Thunder losing about P100,000 in cash and valuables.

Jay Mendoza lost his Bulova watch worth P30,000 plus P5,000 cash and several credit cards, Mick Pennisi his Nokia 3310 cellphone, an undetermined amount of cash and credit cards, Anton Villoria P1,500 in cash plus credit cards, Jimwell Torion a bottle of Tommy Hillfiger perfume, trainer Yakky Emnas a pair of Nike shoes and Police sunglasses, and Ato Agustin his wallet with the key in his F150 van inside it. — N.
