20th Coral invitational golf

The Cebu Country Club staged the 20th Coral Invitational Wednesday with a total of 230 member-guest pairs seeing action.

The four-day, 36-hole event, held under the Modified Stableford scoring system, is the club’s premiere member-guest tournament.

At stake in the event are prizes for the top five teams overall and the top three performing pairs for the first and second rounds of play.

A Ford Explorer Sport Trac and a Lynx from Ford Cebu are at stake for a hole-in-one feat. Signal Trading Corp. is offering a jacuzzi for an ace on hole No. 5.

Meanwhile, Cebu Country Club is co-hosting next month’s Philippine Airlines Interclub tournament alongside Club Filipino Incorporada de Cebu.

The major backers of this event are Cebu Mitsumi Corp. and RGMN Group.

The award rites will be held Saturday, which is also the eve of the annual Sinulog mardi gras.
