Dorothy due, plays in Riviera

Dorothy Delasin, the PSA's Athlete of the Year, will play at Riviera’s Langer today with officials of Cinnabon and Shell and friends in a tournament dubbed "A Day with Dorothy Delasin."

The 20-year-old Delasin, who is set to arrive this morning from the US, will proceed to Silang, Cavite to play and will have a press conference at lunch. A Toyota Echo Verso is a hole-in-one prize on all four par-3s. Unilever Phils. will sponsor No. 17 and will also give away Unilever products to participants.

Meanwhile, one of the highlights of the activities lined up for Delasin tomorrow will be the launching of the "ABS for a Cause" donation at the Quezon City Hall.

Delasin will personally launch the project partly aimed at helping the sick Filipinos abroad by way of donating P.5 million worth of ABS Bitter Herbs products.

Actually, the ABS Gen. Int’l Co. owner Paul Gupana has donated the items to the Daly City-based Delasin in recognition of her achievement but the latter decided to give the products instead to sick Filipinos living in the United States in a gesture of kindness and generosity.

Delasin will be honored in the PSA Awards Night tomorrow at Holiday Inn Manila.

Meantime, a motorcade at 10 a.m. from Hotel Rembrandt, the official residence of the Delasin family, will kickoff Dorothy’s activities. It will then proceed to the Bulwagan of QC Hall with Delasin receiving from Mayor Ismael Mathay a symbolic key. She will later launch to "ABS for a Cause‘‘ for local beneficiaries.

Some of the project’s beneficiaries are Health Program for the Senior Citizen (Mayor Mathay), Federation for the Disabled People (Nonoy Zuniga), Shining Light Federation, Inc.-Diabetic beneficiary (Gary Valenciano), Day by Day Christian Ministries (Pastor Ed Lapiz), Nueva Vizcaya Council (BSP-Ignacio Galindez, UE Institute of Diabetes Studies Federation Alumni (Dr. Leorino Sobrepena and Dr. Elwin Liwanag), Nueva Vizcaya Diabetic Club (Dra.
