Paeng plays in MBA Open

Four-time World Cup champion Paeng Nepomuceno confirmed his participation while fellow Hall of Famer Bong Coo will deliver the inspirational message when the 21st Magallanes Bowling Association (MBA) Tenpin Bowling Open Championship reels off tomorrow at the Astrobowl Bowling Center in Makati City at 8 a.m.
Members of the national team and training pool are among the more than 500 men and lady bowlers who are invited to participate in the nine-day tournament.
Different bowling associations affiliated with the Philippine Bowling Congress (PBC) namely Bowlmart, Prime Pasta, AMBA, ATBA, BALP, CETBA, GCBA, ITBA, MTBA, PBA, PSB, PBAP, PWBA, SJBA, SBTBA, SLETBA, TBAM, TCBA, Unique and host MBA are expected to mix it up in four different categories.
Cash prizes and trophies await the winners, including a P100,000 special prize for those who score a perfect 300 game. This year’s MBA Open was organized and prepared by incumbent officials led by Ramon Carredo, president, along with vice president and assistant treasurer Ador Bonquin, Bojie Fabro, secretary, Tony Tan, treasurer, Rasto Olido, auditor, ways and means chairman Bobby Amores, tournament chairman Efren Guerrero, membership chairman Boloy Tiaqui, Joseph Sison, PRO, past president Dr. Jorge Arkoncel, legal counsel Mike Gonzales, rules committee chairman Chito Quintos, and steering committee members Paeng Villanueva and Nano Quintos.
