Canelas clocked 27 minutes, 56 seconds to win the title, a P1,500 prize and a specially-designed trophy donated by the organizing Greenhills Running Club which is raising funds for its beneficiary, the White Cross.
Second was Augusto Pe in 28:21, followed by 18-year-old Rio de la Cruz (28:28).
In the distaff side, veteran lady runner Enate Sayrol won top honors with a time of 33:45 despite long lay-off.
Melinda Manahan was second (33:57) and Catherine Baltao third (38:49).
The benefit run was organized by the Greenhills Community Running Club, and was supported by Pagcor, I-Bank, Yakult, Adidas, Polyform, Hitachi, Hanabishi, Baliwags Lechon, Hi-class Lamination, Milo, Jollibee, Metro Makati Motors and Zest-O.
Greenhills Running Club president Gerry Jarin and race director Rudy Biscocho awarded the prizes.
Sayrol, who is a consistent contender in the Milo Marathon races, also received cash prize of P1,500 and a trophy for her victory to all the top winners at the day-long affair.
