Lina Cup slated at Cangolf

The Laguna Chamber of Commerce & Industry, headed by sportsman Tom Carrasco, president of the Triathlon Association of the Philippines (TRAP), will stage the Gov. Joey Lina’s Cup at the Canlubang Golf & Country Club on Oct. 13.

The event marks LCCI’s second invitational golf offering this year after the 26th Philippine Business Conference tournament.

Corny Carlos, area vice president of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce & Industry, leads the field that includes members of the various chambers of commerce & industry in Regions 4 and 5.

The event is sponsored by Nestle Phils., Asia Pacific Insulation and Yasaki Torres.

Entry fee (inclusive of green and tournament fees and meals) is pegged at P2,000 for LCCI member and P2,500 for non-LCCI member, according to tournament director Rene Almeda of Yazaki-Torres. Deadline for entries is Oct. 10.
