It’s Cantada, Que, Delariarte, La’O

TRECE MARTIREZ , Cavite – Gerard Cantada coasted to a 76, Angelo Que carded a 73, Jerome Delariarte fired a 75 and Cookie La’O scored a 72 to virtually make the Philippine team for the Southeast Asian Golf Championship.
Cantada, whose sixth round 69 at the Riviera Golf and Country Club’s Langer Course gave him a commanding 11-shot lead, slowed down a bit as he toured the Sherwood Hills Golf Club course with four over par.
He started the series with a 72 and 74 at Riviera’s Couples Course, a 75 and 72 at the Orchard Golf and Country Club’s Palmer Course and a 74 at Langer for 512 and an eight-stroke lead.
Que, reigning national amateur champion, has 520 to maintain his strong hold of second place, followed by Delariarte 525 and La’O 530 in the 144-hole qualifying series.
The National Golf Association of the Philippines is conducting it to select the four members for the tournament also known as Putra Cup next month in Cholburi, Thailand.
