No 'help-defense' for Asi
Chances are Asi Taulava will pack his bags and leave the country in the next few days unless he decides to appeal his case in a personal capacity.
A reliable source said the legal team of Mobiline is still studying Taulava's case though the team management has decided not to make an appeal to higher government offices on behalf of the beleaguered player.
Nevertheless, the same source said the Mobiline lawyers are trying to find a way so that Taulava can still stay in the country or can comeback as soon as he finds new evidence to support his claim that he has Filipino roots.
The Bureau of Immigration ordered Taulava's deportation last Friday for his failure to prove his Filipino citizenship.
BI Commissioner Rufus Rodriguez said Taulava will be deported in 15 days but the deportation may be delayed if the Court of Appeals issues a temporary restraining order or a preliminary writ of injuction against the BI.
