Milan berths staked in Avon run

Avon Cosmetics, Inc. launches its search for the top lady runners to represent the country to the Milan, Italy Avon Women's 10K Global Championship when it stages the second edition of the Avon Women's 10K National Finals on April 16 at the Cultural Center Complex grounds in Pasay City.

The search is part of a global commitment of Avon in promoting welfare through running and physical fitness awareness among women competitors worldwide. The Philippine circuit is also supported by Adidas and the Peninsula Manila.

More than 1,000 lady runners, fitness buffs, and joggers together with Marigen Campos, last year's Visayas winner held in Iloilo City, will join the Metro Manila grand finals. Two more from Mindanao elimination run being held this weekend in Cagayan de Oro City will also compete for the top two slots to Milan, Italy where $50,000 cash prizes await the winners. The April 16 Avon Run also features a 3K fitness fun run and walk event.

Registration is now ongoing at the following Avon Service Centers: Japa Center Bldg., 2256 P. Tamo, Makati; Marc Bldg., 1963 Taft Ave., Malate; Panorama Bldg., 1139 Brgy. Veterans, Edsa, Quezon City; GDC Bldg., 750 Shaw Blvd., Mandaluyong City; LAS Bldg., Real St., Pamplona, Las Pinas; Pacific Land Bldg., 2467-2485 Legarda St., Sampaloc, Manila; and at the Malolos Service Center on McArthur Highway, Tikay, Malolos, Bulacan.

Entries are also being accepted at the lobby of the Greenhills Theater at the Greenhills Shopping Center in Ortigas Ave. in San Juan.
