La Salle- Greenhills baseball teams achieved a rare feat when all its four teams made it to the finals in the ongoing fifth Homerun Basic: PSC Chairman's Cup in Ayala Alabang Village sponsored by the Philippine Tot Baseball Foundation and De La Salle-Zobel. The championship is set this Sunday.
LSGH bronco team had to work three extra innings before eliminating top seed Southridge School in a closely contested match. They will face Manila Japanese Bronco team for the championship which earlier eliminated highly fancied Marist School in other semifinal game.
La Salle-Greenhills live to its billing as the top seed in the Mustang and Pony divisions. The Greenies eliminated the Manila Japanese Baseball team in the Mustang division to earn the right to face Northfield for the crown. Northfield beat archrival Southridge on its last bat in the last inning.
In the Pony division, La Salle-Greenhills upset undermanned Southridge for a ticket to the finals against powerhouse Marist School which earlier dislodged tournament leader Floridablanca via 10 runs, 17-7.
