Piolo, pinatunayang chameleon si Bossing Vic
Super duper faney rin ni Bossing Vic Sotto si Piolo Pascual.
Actually, meron nga silang mutual admiration dahil nabanggit din ni Bossing Vic na bumilib din siya kay Piolo matapos nilang gawin ang pelikulang The Kingdom.
Pag-amin ni Papa P : “Sobra akong fan ni Bossing. Bata pa lang ako. I’ve been watching all his films, his TV shows, and I’m still a big fan. And to be able to act alongside this guy, an icon for that matter, it’s like, totoo bang nangyayari ito?” umpisa ni Papa P.
“It was very surreal for me until now. And it’s such a privilege for me to see firsthand the kind of person that he is on and off-camera. Totoo ‘yung mga sinasabi ng mga tao. Simpatiko, charming, at napakabait sa set. Oh, boy next door,” chika pa ni Papa P.
At tinulungan pa raw siya ni Bossing Vic na mag-focus sa kanyang character sabay papuri.
“As an actor, mas humanga ako sa kanya nang sobra. Because just the same for me, my role was really hard. But even Bossing helped me to just really focus on my character. He doesn’t joke around on set. And he was really, parang baguhang artista ba. You know, hindi siya know it all. Ang dami niyang questions kay Direk Mike (Tuviera). He’s very present. I mean, his love for his craft is admirable. Dahil sa tagal niya sa industriya, hindi niya kailangan ‘yun. But because he loves what he’s doing, that’s why he has so much of my respect for that.”
Kaya naman parang nangangamoy comedy film ang kanilang ‘tambalan.’
“Kung paano raw siyang nahirapan dito, ako naman daw ang mahihirapan sa comedy,” hirit ni Piolo.
Kaya naman napasagot si Bossing Vic : “That’s my next dream movie. A comedy film with Piolo Pascual. Direk alam mo na (Direk Mike Tuviera).”
First time ni Piolo na nakatrabaho ang mister ni Pauleen Sotto. At nakita raw talaga niya kung bakit tinitingala si Bossing.
“I think it also helped that this is our first time together uh uh in a film acting for that matter. Napapanood ko lang sa TV, sa filmfest movies of course, Okay Ka Fairy Ko and Enteng Kabisote and everything. Uh, I have to say, I saw the king, I saw the lakan, and it didn’t break character not once, naka-costume na siya. You can’t talk to him; he’s on one side studying his lines, and he’s really a pro.
“So you have to, you know, do and give your best as well. Kasi bihira kang makatrabaho ng katulad ng isang Vic Sotto na talagang tinitingala nang lahat, hindi lang dahil sa galing kundi sa tagal niya sa industriya and he knows what he’s doing, but he’s always up for the challenge, kaya sobra talagang respeto ang maibibigay ko sa kanya because sobra kong na-enjoy ko ang mga eksena namin na hindi ka lang matatawa, madadala ka pa lalo.
“And he really proved to us that he is a chameleon. Matutuwa kayo at mapo-proud kayo sa ginawa ng isang Vic Sotto dito sa The Kingdom.”
