Pelikula ni Paolo, hinaharang ng mga pastor

Sa Martes, Aug. 27, pa ire-review ng MTRCB ang pelikulang Dear Satan na pinagbibidahan ni Paolo Contis kasama ang batang si Sienna Stevens pero maingay na ito dahil sa mga kumokontra sa title.

Meron pa raw grupo ng pastor na gustong harangan ang pagpapalabas nito sa mga sinehan dahil gino-glorify diumano si Satanas. May nagsasabing “deceitful” daw at “misleading” sa title pa lang.

Kaya nabuhay na naman ang bashers ni Paolo Contis.

Lumabas naman sa social media ang trailer at siguro nage-gets naman ang takbo ng kuwento. Kaya’t naglabas ng statement ang producer nitong Mavx Productions kaugnay sa isyung ito.

Mukha namang bukas sila sa ideyang palitan ang title, pero sana panoorin naman daw muna ang pelikula bago husgahan.

Bahagi ng statement na inilabas ng Mavx:

“We sincerely invite you to watch the film with an open mind and heart. We believe that, upon viewing, you will understand the story we sought to tell: a narrative about the strength of faith, the importance of goodness, and the triumph of virtue.”

Pinag-iisipan na nila ang ipapalit na title.

Ayaw na munang magbigay ng komento ni Paolo Contis, dahil mas mabuting ipa-review raw muna sa MTRCB ang naturang pelikula.

Sabi nga ni direk LA Madridejos sa kanyang Facebook account, “Judged based on the title only. What a pity.

“Let’s not promote intelligent viewing. Let’s promote being judgmental.

“If your belief is challenged just because of the title, the strength of your belief might be the problem. Not the title.”

Budol…. program manager na nanghalay sa researcher, sinibak!

Kasabay ng iskandalong sexual harassment na nangyari sa TV5, napag-alamang magtatapos na rin ang programang Budol Alert na pinagtatrabahuhan nitong researcher na nagsumbong na umano’y hinalay siya ng kanyang program manager na si Cliff Gingco.

In-announce na kamakailan na sinibak na siya sa TV5 na order mismo ng Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan. Mismong si Sen. Raffy Tulfo ang nagparating nito sa kanya kaya naaksyunan.

Hindi pa natin alam kung pag-uusapan din ito sa mga susunod na hearing ng Committee for Public Information and Mass Media na pinamumunuan ni Sen. Robin Padilla.

Pero marami kaming nasagap na kuwento kung paano ito na-handle ng management at kung didinggin ito sa susunod na ipapatawag ni Sen. Padilla, maraming mauungkat na kuwento kaugnay rito.

Ang batang nagsumbong na umano’y na-sexually harassed nitong si Gingco ay hindi na bumalik sa TV5. May bagong trabaho na raw ito. Pero itutuloy pa rin ang pagsampa ng demanda laban dito kay Gingco.

Dahil sa kasong ito, totoo kayang may iba pang nagtatrabaho sa news department ng TV5 na nag-resign dahil sa hindi raw nila nagustuhan kung paano na-handle itong reklamo nitong researcher?

Pero titingnan pa rin natin kung pag-uusapan ito sa committee ni Sen. Padilla dahil ang talagang dinidinig nila ay Policies on Television Networks and Artist Management Agencies in Relation to Complaints of Abuse and Harassment.
