Sikat na pinoy designer, tumalak sa mga celebrity na nagpapalibre pero todo promote ng mga international brand

Sino kaya sa mga baguhan sa Milan Fashion Week ang tinamaan sa mga sinabi ng world renowed Pinoy designer na si Michael Cinco?

Si Heart Evangelista definitely ay abswelto dahil veteran na siya kumbaga sa mga fashion week sa Europe.

Kabilang sina Pia Wurtzbach sa mga baguhan sa mga fashion week, ganundin si Sofia Andres.

Madalas damitan ni Michael Cinco si Pia at gawa nito ang blue gown ng dating beauty queen nung manalo sa Miss Universe. Pero ngayon ay todo ang rampa sa Milan Fashion Week na suot ang mga international brand at super post din.

Ganundin si Sofia na madalas naman dumadalo sa mga Ball.

Anyway, napuno na nga ata ang sikat na Pinoy designer.

Tumalak siya sa kanyang Instagram - IG stories - sa mga celebrity / influencer na todo ang kakarampa na super tag sa mga international brand at pilit na nagpapapansin pero ‘pag ang suot ay local brand o gawa ng local fashion designer ‘di man lang nagpo-promote at dedma lang kahit i-tag.

Wala naman siyang binanggit na particular na pangalan.

“Why Filipino influencers and celebrities seem more than happy to flaunt international brands, yet hesitate to promote our very own Filipino designers?

“When a Filipino influencers or a celebrity is wearing a certain international brand they will proudly flaunt and promote the brand in capital letters and tag the brand 100 times, write all the available hashtags in IG as the brand will notice their posts.

“And post will be like OMG im wearing this and that and DREAM COME TRUE (Reaallyyy).

“Thank you for this beautiful dress even the dress looks like a curtain and mukha siyang maglalaba.

“If you tag these famous celebrities and influencers in your posts or stories wearing your dress these people won’t even aknowledge your post or repost your stories and won’t event comment to say THANK YOU in your page.

“Then you will realize they DON’T EVEN FOLLOW YOU in IG or in any social media...

“HAHAHAHA.

“Why is there discrepancy in the promotion of international and Filipino designers?

“The answer may lie in the deeply ingrained mindset of Filipino that view international brands as superior and aspire to be associated with them.

“Unfortunately, this mindset has led to a lack of support for local designers and their brands, despite their undeniable talent and unique designs.”

Pero ‘pag naman daw mga fashion ball or beauty pageant, nagpaparamdam sa kanya para sa libreng damit.

“It’s a common practice to see there famous Filipino celebrities and influencers wearing clothes from the brand whose show they are attending. Designer will load or give dresses for celebrities to see them in front rows wearing their creations watching their shows.

“Through their fashion choices and confident demeanor, they are redifining and elevationg the image of Filipinos.

“Gone are the days where we are looked down upon because of our nationality.

“I applaud them and thank them...

“And now here is the reality.

“Here comes the BALL Seasons, Awards Seasons and the PAGEANT Seasons...

“Expect sweet messeges from celebrities, influencers. Stylists, managers and pageant candidates...

“They will take sa privilege a step futher by treating designer ateliers as their own PERSONAL CLOSET...”

Minsan daw ay tinanong pa siya ng stylist ng isang sikat na Filipino celebrity kung pwede siyang gumawa - custom-made gown para sa kanyang client para sa isang prestigious ball for free.

Pero sinabi raw niya sa nasabing stylist na handa siyang gumawa basta bayaran ang kanyang medical bills and health insurance or para sa kanyang mental health dahil iisipin pa niya kung maba-bash ba siya sa kanyang ginawa kaya magkakaroon pa siya ng panic attack.

“My advice to celebrities, influencers, stylists and managers, before you approach designers for loan or custom-made clothes for FREE, Inom ka muna ng KAPE para KABAHAN ka naman...

“And MAHIYA KA!!!”

Sa huli ay sinabi niyang “WHAT A WONDERFUL LIFE... BEAUTIFUL THINGS in this world are not FREE... In other words... MAGBAYAD KA!!!”

Marami na ring suking Hollywood celebrity ang Pinoy designer na naka-base sa Dubai tulad nina Jennifer Lopez at Beyonce among others.

Pero sa totoo lang, maraming napaaray na celeb sa hanash ni Michael Cinco na low key kumbaga.

Actually, nakakatawa nga ‘yung ibang celeb na kahit binili nila ‘yung damit, tina-tag nila ‘yung brand as if sponsor ‘yun. Samantalang bayad naman ‘yun.
