Julia, bagong sex symbol!

Walang pakialam si Julia Barretto kahit pa bansagan siyang sex symbol dahil sa kanyang daring move bilang bagong calendar girl ng Tanduay for 2024.

“It’s something, I guess. I don’t think it bothers me so much. Actually, I am flattered. As you grow older, you end up being more confident in who you are and in your own skin. If that translates to people being brave and coming out of their shells, I’ll take it. It’s a compliment at the end of the day,” say ni Julia sa ginanap na press launching nito last Wednesday night.

Trending nga si Julia nang ipakilalang bagong calendar girl ng Tanduay.

Lalo na ‘yun sa ‘bukaka pose’ niya na ayon sa photographer na si BJ Pascual ay ‘first shot, best shot.’

As in bukaka na red and skin tone ang two piece kaya naman talagang pinag-usapan kaagad ito sa social media.

Ka-ranggo na niya ngayon ang mga nakaraang calendar girls ng nasabing brand - Heart Evangelista, Bea, Ivana Alawi, Bela Padilla, Erich Gonzales, Kylie Verzosa at marami pang iba.

“It was something I was nervous about but also very excited about because it was an honor to be chosen to represent the brand in 2024. I’m excited but nervous because it means having to be a lot braver in expressing myself, and more than anything else, I’m very grateful. Isa siyang malaking bagay na napili po akong gawin ito,” pahayag pa ng actress.

“To be the face of it, malaki siyang karangalan sa ‘kin and I hope that I did them proud. I hope that the team and my new family is proud about the new calendar. Sana marami maging masaya at matuwa sa aking ginawa a few months ago pa,”  pag-amin niya pa.

At thankful siya na kasama siya sa buong process ng photoshoot nito.

“You know what, isa sa mga bagay na thankful ako sa Tanduay and the creative team was that it was a very collaborative process. My input was important to them and my team’s creative input as well. Pero siyempre, sa mga ganitong klaseng photoshoot, importante rin na very much involved iyong team mo.The team is also dapat iyong trina-trust mo. But more than anything, I’m really grateful kasi that they really valued our thoughts na prinesent.Napakadali ng proseso dahil in-involve nila ako sa process,” sabi pa ni Julia sa naging experience sa process nito.

Pero kinumpisal niyang naging challenging sa kanya ang naging preparation niya para rito. “Actually, medyo challenging iyong naging proseso because right before we did the shoot, I was locked in in Baguio shooting a movie , that was back in July.So challenging iyong pagsabayin ko iyong nagsho-shooting ako pero pag-uwi ko ng hotel, sumisingit ako noong mga konting crunches, konting exercise.

“But again, with the right team and the right people naalagaan talaga ako nang maayos. Isa iyon sa challenges .You don’t get ready when you have something to be ready for.

“Whether you’re preparing for something or not, it helps being active or doing exercises para pag dumating iyong time na kailangang magpakita ng tiyan o skin, ready ka.

“It’s not as if you’re cramming anymore to be ready for a project.I  believe in always being ready or always being prepared.”

Tulad nung nagawa niya sa pelikulang Expensive Candy layunin daw niya na maipakita ang kakaibang Julia na bukod sa sex appeal at confident sa kanyang katawan.

“I’m grateful for projects like these that pushes me to be more confident in what I am. These things I do only help me become a more secure and braver woman,” paliwanag pa ni Julia na very classy naman ang atake.

Pinaghahandaan na rin niya ang mga gagawin niya sa 2024 bukod sa pagiging mukha ng Tanduay.

“I ask myself that question a lot. I feel like life is so unpredictable these days.Even the opportunities being presented to me come as a surprise to me.

“There are, of course, a lot of things to look forward to in 2024. Aside from the movies that will be shown next year, I guess 2024 will be exciting and surprising for me. We’ll see. Tingnan natin next year kung ano pang magiging surprises natin. For now, this is our first 2024 offering.”
