Ryan Mark - Banat

Banat News Hugyaw (BNH): Unsay dilinimomalimtanngakasinatianniadtongbata pa ka?

Vlanche: I remember how life was simple before. Malipaynakoogmga simple rakaayongamgabutang, like paglaagsaamungsilinganparamakigduwasaakongmga friends ogchinese garter, balay-balayuguban pa. Kids nowadays will never know the feeling of being a kid before. No gadgets. Just pure memories.

BNH: Unsay mgapagtulun an ngaimongnakat-onangikansaimongmgaginikinanngaimonggiampinganugimongitudlosaimongmgaanakugmadamlag?

Vlanche: Angpagkamatinabangonugangpagbarogsakaugalingon. My parents taught me to help others in need bisanunsakagamayngatabangbastagikansakasing-kasing. Also, to stand on my own. Both of my parents are outside of the country, it pushed me to be responsible in everything and made me strong as a person. Kiniakongitudlosaakongmgaanakpuhon.

BNH: Unsay angayanbuhatonaronmahumannaang ECQ status sa Cebu City?

Vlanche: First, dapat ta mosunod unsay sugosagobyerno especially sapagpuyosabalay, social distancing and wearing of mask. Mgapamaagingamakalikay ta ngamatakdanugdilimakatakod. We must follow rules. It's the best thing we can do to help not only the government but also the frontliners. To be a good leader in the society whether ordinary ngatao or not, we must first be a good follower. Second, I think we need to have more reinforcement, and lig-on nga support parasaatongmga health workers/frontliners who are working too hard to help fight this pandemic. In that way, kunlig-on angsuportasa gov't, (such as facilities, additional health workers, etc.), ma boost sad ang morale saatongmga health workers/frontliners. Dilinamaglisodsapagaccomodatesamgamasakiton or those who need health assistance whether covid-related cases or not. Eventually, kun sufficient and efficient atong facilities ugsuportadoangmga health workers, it will result to a higher number of recoveries. The more recoveries, the faster to flatten the curve, the faster to end the ECQ status.

BNH: Unsay imongikapasigarboisip achievement karonsaimongpangidaron?

Vlanche: I think my skills in cooking. I mean, I know it’s not that fancy to some but nowadays people are more into digital world and are career-oriented. For me it's already a big achievement at my age, because I get to cook not just for the purpose of eating but I also earn out of it.

BNH: How do you define happiness?

Vlanche: Happiness is not by having more, but wanting less. It is when I don't compare myself to others and just being my authentic self. I'm satisfied and contented with what I have and what I am. Also, seeing my loved ones happy is priceless. Kiniangkalipayngawalaysama.

BNH:  Kun papilionka: Money or love, unsa may imongpilionugngano man?

Vlanche: Love is a reason to live and money is needed to live. Angtinuodngagugmadili temporary samasakwarta. Karonnaakaykwarta, ugmawala. But if we talk about being practical, I know money is the answer. But for me, unsaon man angkwartakunwalaygugma?  Angkwartamakit-an rana, kunmolihokugmaningkamotka. Money can't buy love. True love is rare. Dilitanannakasinatiogtinuodngagugma. So yes to love.

BNH: Kun ikawpabut-on, angayanba’ngmoabliangklasesunodbulan o dili? Ngano man?

Vlanche: As much as I want to say yes, to help the students develop their academic aspects, also to improve their skills and learnings instead of doing nothing, I really think it's not yet the time to allow students to go back to class until there is a vaccine available and its safe already, because life is more important than education in this time of pandemic. Online education was a good option too but we need to consider a lot of factors. Dilitanannaay access sa internet, also computers or gadgets. I think makahuwatraang education peroangkinabuhi if we lost it, dilinamabalik pa.

BNH:  Coffee or milk? Ngano man?

Vlanche: I'm not a coffee person, so yes to milk... with tea.

BNH: Kun adunakanalay 24 hours to live, unsay imongbuhaton?

Vlanche: Mag-ampoko. I will thank God for the blessings that He showered to me and my family. I will ask for forgiveness. Lastly, I will spend my remaining time with my loved ones so that my last memory is spending time with them.

BNH:  Unsay mensahenimosamgabatan-on karonnga nag atubangkitaog health and economic crisis?

Vlanche: To the young ones and young adults like me, it is important to live your life at the moment because life is short. You live everyday but you die once, so make it count. BUT it does not mean nga we are not responsible saatongmgalihok. Life is a gift, and as much as we enjoy now, we also need to prepare for the future. The best thing to do is to be a good example. Lingawlingawpero with limitations. Always gyud ta maghunahunasaatongginikanankaysilaang foundation kun unsa ta karonug kun asa ta padulongpuhon.

BNH: Beauty pageant or sports?

Vlanche: I would choose beauty pageant for the reason that it is one way ngamakahatagogmensahe to all the youth and pag promote ogself confidence, faith--in believing that anyone can, and trust on their capabilities. That in their own little ways, they can make a big difference.

BNH:  Unsanakahayimongkinabuhi 10 years from now?

Vlanche: Ten years from now, I will be a successful businesswoman building my own empire. Happily married with the one I love with the little versions of us running around our own house.
