Heart nakipagtuos na kay Sen. Miriam
“Tita Miriam said, ‘You know, it’s right that you stand by your husband. And I respect that,’” ang kuwento ni Heart tungkol sa pag-uusap nila ng matchmaker nila ni Papa Chiz.
“And we’ll always be friends. Even if we don’t talk, or we talk after how many years, friends don’t forget each other.
“It’s not a problem. We’re all entitled to who we want (to support),” ang sey ni Heart na never nang nagpapaapekto sa mga intriga sa showbiz at pulitika dahil mas mahalaga na happily-married sila ng kanyang asawa.
Dick Gordon, marunong magpasalamat
“I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for the supportive article you wrote about me in your column published last October 31, 2015.
“Thank you for the vote of confidence in my track record and performance in the Senate and your commitment to support my senatorial bid in next year’s elections. Knowing that people recognize and appreciate the qualities I offer as a candidate fuels my determination to be of further service to our countrymen.
“It is also heart-warming that you still remember my accomplishments in the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority. With our beloved country besieged by all kinds of problems that are mostly brought about by the incompetence of our leaders, there is really a need for voters to be more discerning, like you, in choosing our next leaders come May 9, 2015.
“It is high time to dispense with our practice of electing leaders based on surveys, paid television/radio ads and perakter. If we want our country to be Asia’s No.1 once more, we should choose candidates with track record, proven leadership, competence, integrity, values, and vision.
“I am not a stranger to the movie industry too, having been the legal counsel of the theatre industry, as well as the recording industry. We also owned movie houses in our hometown and was very supportive of the movie industry.
“I even gave a cameo appearance in the 1997 Hollywood flick, Goodbye America. Let us all work hand in hand in forging a brighter future for our country; take united steps to reach the Bagumbayan that our national hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal, envisioned and sacrificed his life for.
“In line with this, I would also like to seek your support for Sen. Miguel “Migz” Zubiri and Secretary Rafael Alunan III, who are also joining the senatorial race next year. Rest assured that should we all win, we will work together in crafting laws aimed to achieve our country’s development and will carry out our other duties and responsibilities with fervor.”
