CA ibinasura ang petisyon ni Willie Revillame

MANILA, Philippines – Ibinasura ng Court of Appeals ang petisyon na kumukuwestiyon sa desisyon ng Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) na suspendihin ang noontime variety show ni Willie Revillame sa TV5.

Sinuspinde ng MTRCB ang noontime show na “Willing Willie” matapos maging isyu ang pagsayaw ng anim-na-taong batang lalaki katulad ng isang sexy dancer habang umiiyak.

Kalaunan ay nagreformat ang naturang palabas na umere noong 2010 at 2011 at nagpalit ng pangalang “Wil Time Bigtime.”

Hindi lumusot kay Associate Justice Manuel Barrios ang petisyon ng Wilproductions na pagmamay-ari ni Revillame, at ng Associated Broadcasting Company na baligtarin ang desisyon ng MTRCB.

"Philippine laws which reflect the needs of the Filipino people and thus, Filipino cultural valued highly recognize the necessity to protect the child," nakasaad sa desisyon ng CA.

"The child's interests are safeguarded so much so that the State, as parens patriae, takes upon itself to protect and minimize the risk of harm that may fall upon one who still has not developed his full capacity to protect himself," sabi pa sa desisyon.

Matapos gawing Wil Time Bigtime ang titulo ng programa ay muli itong nag-reformat noong Enero 2013 na pinamagatang “Wowowillie” ngunit nagwakas din ito noong Oktubre 2013.
