MANILA, Philippines - Boring. Ito ang sagot ni Ruffa Gutierrez sa status ng love life niya ngayon. At matagal na. “Sana soon,” sabi niyang natatawa nang tsikahin namin sandali sa launching ng Metro magazine’s September issue na siya ang cover.

Dumayo pa ang Metro mag sa Florence, Italy para sa pictorial ni Ruffa. At nasuot ni Ruffa ang mga pangarap niya sa naturang pictorial – Gucci, Emporio Armani, Salvatore Ferragamo, Bottega Veneta, and Furla. Kaya feeling Hollywood star siya habang nagpi-pictorial sa magandang lugar sa Europe.

First time raw ito sa magazine na nagpictorial sa Europe at talagang hindi siya tinipid.

Pero ang hindi niya malimutan sa pictorial ay nang mahulog siya sa vineyard. Subsob daw siya. “Sabi nga nila kung siguro sa iba nangyari ‘yun baka nagreklamo na. Ok lang wala namang nangyari, parang wala lang,” sabay tawa ni Ruffing sa tsikahan sa Prive Luxury Club sa Bonifacio Global City.

During the pictorial din, may naging Italian stalker ang actress-TV host. Talaga raw sunod ito nang sunod.

Ang gagandang lumabas ng pictorial ni Ruffa sa Tuscan city na pinagmulan ng mga sikat na artist suot ang latest collection ng mga sikat na fashion houses sa Italy.

Na-capture sa magazine ang dramatic piazza and historic bridges hanggang sa vineyard and villas ng Florence.

At ang naaliw si Ruffa ay maraming foreigner ang amazed sa kanya habang nagpi-pictorial.

Kaya nga makita mo lang ang nasabing pictorial parang nakarating ka na sa Florence.

Aside from that pictorial, naging highlight din ng summer ni Ruffa ang pag-aaral niya sa London.

‘‘Every summer I usually go on vacation with friends, but this year I wanted to do something different so, I decided to enroll at Kings College in London and take a short course.

“You never stop learning. It doesn’t matter what age, you can be a student and the universities are always there. I want to instill those values in my daughters because I wasn’t able to do it, because I was so busy with my career. And I’m looking forward to experiencing university life. Like living in my own apartments, cooking, all of that,’’ sabi niya sa interview ng Metro mag bago siya nag-eskuwela.

Modern Espionage and Intelligence ang kinuha niyang kurso for almost a month.

Samantala, hindi na naniniwala si Ruffa sa ‘falling in love.’ Sa lumabas niyang interview ay sinabi niya ito. ‘‘There’s no such thing as falling in love. I would tell my daughters that you have to choose who you fall in love with. There’s no more room for mistakes. With everything that I’ve been through, you really have to focus and ask yourself ‘makakabuti ba itong tao na ’to para sa akin?’ I haven’t had a boyfriend in two years because I’m so focused now. I’m more careful now because I don’t want to get hurt. I don’t want to give my heart to the wrong person again because that could lead to self destruction, depression, and time away from my kids. I have to always be there for my kids emotionally, so I’d rather be alone than be in a relationship that’s going to bring me down. And in these two years, I think it’s the best two years of my life. I’ve been married to my fans, my kids, and my family.

“Relationships take time and if that person is not going to bring out the best in me, if we’re not going to move forward together, then I’d rather be alone. But with that being said the greatest lesson would be there are no regrets when it comes to love. It’s always a learning experience,” sabi niya sa lumabas sa Metro mag September issue.
