Cool na cool si Tito Eddie Gutierrez sa mga patutsada sa kanya ni Amalia Fuentes na isa siyang aging actor na walang trabaho. “Aging totoo naman ’yun, actor totoo rin ’yun, pero ’yung no work, sa Monday may story conference ako para sa isang project sa ABS-CBN,” sabi niya na nakatawa habang nakikipagtsikahan sa ginanap na birthday party ni Tito Ricky Lo sa Vera Perez Garden last Saturday night.
Hindi siya affected at wala sa plano niyang patulan ang mga sinasabi ng numero unong kalaban ngayon ng asawa niyang si Annabelle Rama.
Preservation ng Philippine films, audio-visuals at iba pa, iniutos ni PNoy!
Pinirmahan na pala noong April 17 ni Presidente Noynoy Aquino III ang Administrative Order (AO) No. 26 na ang pangunahing layunin ay protektahan at pangalagaan ang mga pelikula at audio-visuals na hawak sa kasalukuyan ng various government agencies.
Kasabay ang direktiba sa lahat ng ahensiya ng pamahalaan na i-turn over ang mga ito sa National Film Archive of the Philippines (NFAP) na bahagi ng government’s efforts to preserve the country’s artistic and historic wealth.
Ayon kay Executive Secretary Paquito N. Ochoa, AO 26 also streamlines the materials by giving to the NFAP the task of caring, preserving and reconstructing of films and audio-visuals instead of maintaining several film archives.
“It is the job of the State to preserve the country’s artistic and historic wealth because this forms is part of the cultural treasure of our nation. It is also the job of the State to encourage the advancement of the local film industry because it is an effective tool to enrich our artistic, cultural and social values or facilitate the better understanding and appreciation of our identity as Filipinos,” sabi ni Sec. Ochoa sa isang statement.
Ipinaliwanag pa ni Ochoa na sa pamamagitan ng administrative order, mas lalong mapahusay ang pag-protekta, restoration, maintenance and custody ng Filipino films and other audio-visual negatives, or digital files whether moving films, documentaries and animation, etc. na gawa sa bansa o maging sa abroad.
Effective immediately ang AO 26 sa lahat ng departments, agencies and offices of the Executive Branch.
Binigyan ng karapatan ng presidential directive ang Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) na siyang bumuo ng NFAP, to request similar materials mula sa Legislative and Judicial Branches.
Kung kinakailangan, authorized din ang FDCP na pinamumunuan ni Mr. Briccio Santos na mag-request sa private parties like film producers, directors, legal owners or possessors ng mga newly produced films and other audio-visuals to deposit a copy or duplicate copy ng kani-kanilang pelikula after a month na maipalabas ito sa bansa o sa abroad.
Inutusan din ang NFAP ng pangulo na gumawa ng record ng lahat ng materials na matatanggap at maglabas ng record at the end of each year.
