Sa issue ng ratings, GMA kinontra ng ABS-CBN

MANILA, Philippines - Ay may dagdag na statement ang ABS-CBN tungkol sa inilabas na statement ng GMA 7 sa issue ng ratings ng kani-kanilang mga programa.

“The ABS-CBN case against AGB Nielsen is still pending resolution at the Court of Appeals, contrary to what GMA says has already been resolved. GMA is not party to the case and should refrain from commenting on it.”

Asahan natin na mas magiging matindi pa ang bakbakan ng dalawang naggigiyerang network sa bagong taon.

Napili na ng Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) ang 23 finalists sa three categories para sa kauna-unahang Sineng Pambansa National Film Competition (SPNFC)  – 13 para sa Full Length Feature, seven for Documentary at three for Animation.

Ayon kay FDCP Chairman Briccio Santos except sa Animation, ang mga mananalo ay pipiliin ayon sa kanilang geographical area (Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao). Yup isang unique aspect  ng competition ay ginamit ang mga sariling salita ng mga pinanggalingan ng entry – dialogue or narration para mas maipakita ang yaman ng lugar sa pamamagitan ng pelikula.      

“I am happy to note that some of these finalists come as far north as Kalinga and Benguet, and as far south as Davao, Marawi and Jolo, which means that the region-based filmmakers are now  contributing their outstanding talent and creativity to the making of a true Sineng Pambansa or National Cinema,” sabi ni FDCP Chairman Santos.

Ang mga finalists ay bibigyan ng seed money para tapusin ang kanilang pelikula para makasali sa Sineng Pambansa National Film Festival na gaganapin sa Davao sa June 2012 sa pakikipagtulungan ng FDCP sa city government of Davao.

Luzon:

Ang Mga Kidnapper ni Ronnie Lazaro, Sigfried Barros-Sanchez, from Metro Manila; Pauwi Na, Jose Paulo Villaluna, from Manila and Bicol;

Qwerty, Eduardo Lejano Jr., from Manila;

Anac Ti Pating, Martin Masadao, from Kalinga;

Kanana Kanu, Jocelyn Banasan-Kapuno, from Benguet

Visayas: 

Ang Mga Aswang, John Raymund Macahilas, from Iloilo;

Beadworks, Ronny N. Poblacion, from Iloilo;

Gugma Sang Panahon Sang Bakunawa, Peter Solis Nery, from Iloilo

 Mindanao:

Tambara, Orvil C. Bantayan, from Davao;

Duwaya (Polygamy), Najib Alyhar Benito-Zacaria, from Marawi;

Walay Tumo’y ng Punterya (No End in Sight), Cierlito Espejo Tabay, from Cebu;

Ginabuhi It Bulig (Binubuhay ng Pagtulong), Lester G. Babiera, from Aklan

Mindanao:

Tagurih: The Kites of Sulu, Dempster P. Samarista, from Sulu;

Married to Danger, Sheron Dayoc, from Zamboanga

Ang finalists naman sa Animation category ay ang mga sumusunod : Katalina, Jose Ramon S. del Prado, from Taguig; Kalon, Blecyrezza E. Piluden, from Baguio; and Ceiling, Danilo Montano of Holy Cow Animation Inc. from Manila

Ibinalita rin ni Chairman Santos na may Ikalawang Yugto na agad ang Sineng Pambansa National Film Competition na gaganapin sa Nov­ember. Manggagaling ang entry sa mga entries din sa unang batch ng FNFC.

Kabilang sa napili na sa Ikalawang Yugto:   Sheikh Makduhm by Abraham I. Dalagan from Tawi-Tawi (feature film); Ang Pagbabalik ng Bituin by Sheryl Manalastas from Manila (documentary); and Si Mat­sing at si Pagong by Analyne Pineda (animation).

Malalaman sa March ang bubuo sa Ikalawang Yugto ng SPFNFC.
