Ms. Bohol Sandugo 2010: She Knows What She Wants

CEBU, Philippines - Responsible, God-fearing, family-oriented, ang mga hiyas nga nakatatak sa 23- anyos nga si Amir Paraguya Sol kinsa nahimong ilado karon sa Bohol sanglit siya maoy kasamtangang naghupot karon sa titulo nga Miss Bohol Sandugo.

“Wala ko mag-expect nga makadaug kay daghan man gud nga mga kandidata nga deserving pud nga makadaug. Apan sure ko nga ni-guide gyud nako ang Ginoo niadtong higayona,” nagkanayon si Amir sa Banat News Hugyaw.

Suma pa niya nga kung moapil siya og mga indigay, itatak gyud niya kanunay sa iyang huna-huna nga dili kini contest aron dili siya bation og kakulba.

“I was trained to handle nervousness and I had performed a lot on stage so I know how it feels like facing big crowd. My confidence is not much as long as I showed my best but not overblown. I guess those are the things that made me stand out”, dugang pa ni Amir.

Banat Hugyaw: Unsa nga problema sa nasud  ang angayan tagaan og pagtagad sa atong mga opisyales sa gobyerno ug ngano?

Amir: Una sa tanan ang edukasyon sa mga bata., it’s the first issue anywhere in the world that pulls us down to poverty. Ikaduha, ang pagsulbad sa problema sa pag usab na karon sa atong klima. The earth is the only home we have, we just have to take good care of it seriously, even people outside the government body. Kitang tanan adunay part nga dapat himuon.

Banat Hugyaw: Unsa nga mga parte sa lawas sa lalake ang una nimo nga bantayan?

Amir: Eyes, neck and lips. 

Banat Hugyaw: Unsa nga kinaiya sa lalake  nga maka-turn off nimo?

Amir: Untidy, irresponsible, smoker ug lazy.

Banat Hugyaw: What is your definition of success?

Amir: Success is the fruit of your hard work and sweetness of life after a struggle.

Banat Hugyaw: Past experience you cannot forget.

Amir: When I fell in love to a wrong guy..

Banat Hugyaw: Type ba nimo ang boy nga hilig og nightlife?

Amir: Dili gyud, hehe.       

Banat Hugyaw: Unsa ang makonsiderar nimo nga strength sa imong kinabuhi?

Amir: It’s a broad word. But my strength comes from my family. I manage to survive every problem that comes in my life, like the death of my mom.

Banat Hugyaw: What makes you uncomfortable?

Amir: If someone pisses me off.        

Banat Hugyaw: Unsa  ang dark side sa imong kaugalingon?

Amir: Mogawas gyud ang akong pagkamaldita kung makadungog ko nga gilibak ko.

Banat Hugyaw:   Kung mahupas na ang love nimo sa imong uyab, unsaon nimo siya pagsulti nga dili siya malain?

Amir: I’ll talk to him seriously, and be honest on what’s on my mind and heart. It’s not good to continue our relationship knowing that I don’t love him anymore. I believe if we’re meant for each other, then things will follow. I can say that setting me free is the best solution for us, than fooling my heart in my entire life.

Banat Hugyaw:  What is your stand on pre-marital sex?

Amir: Kay usa man ta ka Christian, kinahanglan nga motuman gyud ta kung unsay gitudlo sa Ginoo.

Banat Hugyaw:  Andam na ba ka nga magminyo?  

Amir: Dili pa ko andam magminyo. I still have my crown. It takes time to build a family and it needs to have good foundation, the parents. And I can say that I’m not yet ready to be a parent. I need more guidance and experience. I want to enjoy my life as a single lady.
