CEBU, Philippines - Hay naku naku naku!!! Happy New Year mga kahugyawnatics!!! 9 days more to go ug ato nang masaksihan ang labing hugyaw nga indigay sa kaanyag, ang coronation night sa Miss Cebu 2011. Akong nakauban ang 12 ka mga maanyag nga Cebuana gikan sa screening ug ako silang mas nailhan sa akong pagkuyog-kuyog nila sa ilang mga seminars, trainings ug out-of- town trips. Ug dinhi sa Banat Hugyaw, ato pa silang mas maila-ila:

Banat Hugyaw: Why did you join Miss Cebu?
Katrina: Miss Cebu is not just another pageant but an experience to build relationship with other people. It is one way of tapping my potentials and further developing my abilities. Joining Miss Cebu interests me to explore the place which I called my home.
BH: If you win as Miss Cebu, unsa man ang imong first project?
Katrina: If I ever get the title as Miss Cebu, Education will be my first project. It is one of the things that no one could ever take away from us. I should be the first resource to establish a quality of informal education to the out of school youth.
BH: What is your dream in life?
Katrina: I don’t want to be stagnant in life. I am a growth oriented type of person. My dreams are out-flowing and I am starting to achieve it slowly. I want to help other people especially those who are in need, for I want to make a difference in their lives.

Banat Hugyaw: Why did you join Miss Cebu?
Kerrie: First, it’s my dream to be a beauty queen and joining this prestigious pageant would make it happen. Second, I want to give back what Cebu has given me for the past 18 years of my existence.
BH: What is your advocacy in life?
Kerrie: It would have to be about health care and environmental sustainability
BH: Unsa man ang imong labing dakong contribution nimo sa community?
Kerrie: I always participate in tree planting projects of San Miguel Corporation since my father works there. I was also active in girl scouting way back in high school.
BH: If you’d be given a chance to give a meaning to your name in the dictionary, what would it be?
Kerrie: Adjective: Dedicated.
