“As the bell sounded in round twelfth of the Pacquiao-Clottey fight, there was a big commotion and the loudest screams and shouts were heard sa apat na sulok ng Cowboys Stadium.
“Nagkaisa ang crowd of about 50 thousand or so in saying ‘Pacquiao All the Way.’ Even as the judges are yet to turn in their cards, the big crowd knew that Pacquiao had won.
“And in a few minutes, nagsuguran ang mga Filipinos (and Americans, too) across the stadium to welcome him at the ‘After Fight Party.’
“t’s my first time to host this kind of a big and really wild happening. Everyone had beers in their hands, the Pacquiao shirts were all over, the Manny P. jackets were worn by everyone, and the Manny news clippings were spread out at the Diamond Room of the Ballpark.
“Sa program, there were some local performers who entertained the guests while Manny Pacquiao is attending his post press conference and grabbing some food to eat.
“The Maharlika Dancers were charming in getting the attentions of the Americans. And it was a Filipino Party complete with the locals donning the traditional barong Tagalog, baro, at saya, watching the Philippine flag, and some Filipino foods.
“Hindi magkamayaw ang mga tao in yelling Manny ‘s name and asking for him to finish up and join the party.
“It took him an hour after the fight to attend the party. For someone who just had a grueling fight, then attend a party and sing several songs, this Manny Pacquiao icon is really a celebrity par excel lance.
“Talagang high-rated celebrity. Mala-Nora Aunor of 1970s. Pandemonium is written all over when he came out. Phenomenal.
“The program was preceded by British Got Talent singer Madonna Decena along with Lito Camo, and Arnel Pineda (Journey lead vocalist).
“Alternating with each other in regaling the crowd while Manny is going on in his outfit changes. In the middle of an ongoing program, biglang nag-appear ang champ from nowhere.
“The very decent and mild stage turned into a real crazy zoo and everyone wanted a piece of Manny’s hand and shirt and a kiss. With such act, I just simply faded out in the throngs of crowd.
“All of a sudden, wala na ako sa eksena. While earlier, I was hosting the intros of everyone, bigla na lang akong natakpan ng mga guards, alalays, and fans.
“But it was a real nice and heartwarming sight to see Manny Pacquiao entertain the select invited guest of about 2,000 Filipinos.
“He jammed at kumanta siya ng mga old hits like Boggahan, Laki sa Layaw, Imagine, and many more. This champ is really a celebrity to behold.
“Lahat ng Filipinos sa Dallas were so proud of Manny’s demeanor. Very humble, soft spoken, and very respectful sa mga tagahanga niya.
“I am not at all surprised why he is a champ and a national icon of the Philippines. The crowd which included Filipinos who traveled from Canada, from Australia, Europe, and out of states in the US (Hawaii and Alaska included) were completely in awe of this champ.
“Hollywood actor Robert Duvall was also spotted in the crowd as well as Jerry Jones, owner of Cowboys stadium.
“In all, it was a Great Fight Experience having Manny Pacquiao retain his Boxing champ title.”
