Panday Kids nag-aral muna ng Martial Arts at Sword Fighting
MANILA, Philippines - Ngayong araw na ang simula ng Panday Kids sa GMA 7 na base sa all-time Filipino classic, Ang Panday ni Carlo J. Caparas kung saan ipi-feature ang tatlong bagets - Julian Trono as Hadji, Sabrina Man as Charlie and Robert “Buboy” Villar as Oliver.
Robert was the unanimous choice to play one of the leads while Julian and Sabrina were handpicked from hundreds of applicants who auditioned for the coveted roles.
Kasama rin sina Ms. Iza Calzado as Maria Makiling, Queen of the Engkantos; JC de Vera as Aureus, an eskrimador tasked by Maria Makiling to find the Panday Kids; Polo Ravales as Cicero, grandson of Lizardo; Ryan Eigenmann as Andreas, half-goat, half-human brother of Maria Makiling; Jackie Rice as Sarah, the beautiful engkanto loved by Aureus; Jose Manalo as Mambo, right-hand man to Lizardo; and Marvin Agustin as Lizardo, the King of Evil.
Marami pang ibang artistang kasama sa Panday Kids na makikipagsalpukan sa pumatok na Agua Bendita ng ABS-CBN.
At isa sa mga bigating suporta si Christopher de Leon bilang the original guardian of the Panday Sword.
Bilang paghahanda sa kanilang role, Julian, Sabrina and Robert underwent painstaking martial arts and sword-fighting lessons under Larry Ang, an international Wushu expert. Also the program’s stunt director, Larry, has directed and choreographed martial arts films in Hong Kong, Korea and China.
