Tamano 'di pa lalayasan Si Belo
MANILA, Philippines - Matapos layasan ang pagiging spokesperson ng United Opposition (UNO), ang pagiging spokesperson naman at legal counsel kay Dra. Vicki Belo ang balitang lalayasan ni Atty. Adel Tamano.
Pero agad nagpaliwanag ang kampo ni Tamano.
“Allow me to correct the erroneous reports that I am withdrawing as Dr. Belo’s counsel. At a media forum yesterday (last Saturday), I said that when it gets close to the election period - and especially when I have to start campaigning - I will be unable to personally handle Dr. Belo’s cases. Of course, it is my hope that the cases should be dismissed before that time, particularly because I know Dr. Belo is innocent. It should be made clear that my decision to not personally handle her cases at that time is solely based on what is best for the client, which is to have a lawyer who can focus on her case. The evidence shows that Dr. Belo is innocent and we are confident that in the end the truth will prevail,” ayon sa statement ni Atty. Tamano sa text message ni Ms. Leah Salterio, ang PR manager ng Belo Medical Group.
Anyway, ayon sa source, ikinatuwiran ni Atty. Adel kay dating president Joseph Estrada na lilipat siya sa partido ni Sen. Manny Villar dahil susuportahan siya nito financially sa kanyang kandidatura sa pagka-senador.
