Charice nag-promote ng international album sa Oprah

Today na aalis si Megastar Sharon Cuneta para sa kanilang concert tour ni KC sa Amerika. Pero as of the last Monday, hindi pa raw sila nakaka-impake.

Isa si mega sa heavy traveler. Isang set of Louis Vuitton ang dala niya sa tuwing aalis ng bansa dahil pati unan ay dala niya saan man pumunta. Pero kahit hindi pa sila gayak noon, hindi siya nagmadali sa presscon/launching ng kanyang kauna-unahang Children’s Rhymes and Lullabies album sa Sony Music Entertainment.

Although kailangan pa raw niyang bumalik agad sa Laguna kung saan sila nakatira, pero marami pa rin siyang kuwento during the presscon.

Siyempre, natanong na naman kung ano ang posibilidad na magsama sila sa pelikula ni Gabby Concepcion lalo na nga at malakas ang dating ng one-scene appearance ni Gabby sa pelikula nila ni AiAi delas Alas na Best Friends Forever, puwede naman ayon kay Mega. 

Pero depende pa rin sa asawa niyang si Sen. Kiko Pangilinan dahil alam niyang oras na magsama uli sila sa movie, hindi sila makakaligtas sa intriga. 

Pero shocked si Mega na may kilig factor pa rin sa fans ang team up nila ni Gabby.

Pagdating naman kay KC, next year pa raw ito naka-schedule mag-move in sa sarili nitong condo. Alam naman niyang happy ang anak kaya wala silang problema.

Anyway, kasama niyang nag-conceptualized ng Children’s Rhymes and Lullabies ang asawa’t anak. Say niya: The idea for this album stem­med from a need to find both Tagalog and English songs for our children, Frankie and Miel. We are devoted, hands-on parents and have a collection of albums of English songs for kids in our home, but couldn’t add any that contained lots of Filipino ones. We figured if we felt a need for some­thing like this, then we were pretty sure there were lots of parents out there who did, too! Plus we thought that sin­ce there are lots of Filipino parents scat­tered all over the world whose chil­dren hadn’t heard of, let alone grown up with songs for them, from their homeland, that we had to make this col­lection,” mahabang paliwanag niya.

Actually, matagal daw ginawa ang album na ito.

Pinirmahan na pala ni Pangulong Gloria Maca­pagal-Arroyo ang Memorandum Order No. 299 approving the Board of Investment’s 2009 Investment Priorities Plan kung saan isa ang industriya ng pelikula sa mga kasama sa mga sectors sa bagong IPP.

Mismong si Mr. Rolando S. Atienza, Chairman ng Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) ang nagkuwento tungkol dito.

To quote from the Memorandum Order: “Not­with­standing the country’s estimable economic perfor­man­ce and with no room for complacency, my Ad­minis­tration has the critical task to preserve the momentum for sustained growth and to ensure that the em­ployment possibilities for the Filipino people are opti­mized by assisting our industries withstand the crisis.

 “Meeting these extraordinary challenges head-on, the Board of investments, in coordination with other government agencies and the private sector, has prepared the 2009 Investment Priorities Plan (IPP) as a tool to save and create jobs and achieve decent investment performance. The 2009 IPP opens oppor­tunities for the country to attract more quality invest­ments into industries and services that would maintain and improve the country’s competitiveness and ensure employment for the Filipino people.”

Kasama sa industriyang ito ngayong 2009 ang ‘creative industries.’ This covers “non BPO-IT enabled services and film, TV and theatre arts production.”

Ang incentives will be for individual (film) projects that are endorsed by the FDCP at kasama ang income tax holiday sa loob ng apat na taon and exemption from duties of imported capital equipment needed for the corresponding approved project.

Magkakaroon ng formal announcement ang FDCP ng iba pang detalye kung paano mag-apply bilang IPP registered project once specific guidelines for registration are received from the BOI.

Umaasa si Mr. Atienza na sa ganitong further in­cen­tive for filmmakers, more economic activity in the film industry will be generated. “This will be an ad­di­tional help to the filmmakers on top of other incentives the government provides such as the amusement tax rebates,” sabi niya.
