Trish Jumamoy: A beautiful mind and a pretty heart

Ang pagka-maayong indibidwal ug pakamanghigala-on ang iyang gihimong hinagiban sa pag-atubang sa nagkadaiyang klase sa personalidad ug pagkatawo sa kalibutan sa modeling. Daku usab nga aspeto ang iyang dakong pagsalig sa kaugalingon sa pagsuong sa natad sa indigay sa kaanyag, talento ug pagka-utokan.

Si Trish nagtuo nga ang kababayn-an adunay talagsaon nga kaanyag ug talento nga magdala kanila sa ganghaan sa kalampusan sanglit matag pahugyaw niya sa kada indigay, iya man gyud kining butangan og talagsa-on nga kinabuhi ug pagsalig sa kaugalingon.

Question and Answer:

Banat Hugyaw: What is your greatest dream as far as joining pageants is concerned?

Trish:  My greatest dream when it comes to joining beauty pageants is to represent the City   of Cebu and our country as well in a big international beauty pageant simply because I want to prove to the whole world nga kitang mga Pilipina disente, adunay dalaygo nga batasan ug mga edukadong indibidwal bisan pa sa diskriminasyon sa ubang nasud.

Banat Hugyaw: Unsay baruganan nimo sa komentaryo sa uban nga Swimsuit Competition in beauty pageants is an exploitation to women?

Trish: I strongly believe that the Swim Suit Competition in every pageant is not a form of exploitation to women simply because I believe in the saying that goes “The Women are the Goddess of Beauty and our heavenly body is our temple so if you have it flaunt it.”

Banat Hugyaw: Unsay dili nimo ganahan nga portion sa beauty pageant ug ngano man?

Jean: Honestly, the portion that I hate in a beauty pageant is the Question and Answer portion because everything can go wrong with just one twisted word. I know that deep down in my mind I am full of ideas but sometimes I am afraid of the crowd when I speak ‘coz surely they will laugh at you when you’re in deep tension.

Getting Personal:

Banat Hugyaw: Pilay edad nimo nga nagsugod ka og uyab-uyab?

Trish: I Honestly, I had my first boyfriend at the age of 15 on my way to 16. I’m a hard to get type of woman but I don’t know what happened that May of 2006 ‘coz there was this guy who lives just a block from my father’s school— Saint John De Sahagun Grammar School in Toledo City. The guy was not my ideal guy because he’s too playful and outgoing, and I wanted a guy who stays at home from time to time because I’m a total home girl. One night I was hungry while talking to him on the phone from 8pm to 6am then he surprised kay mibutho siya sa among gate nga nagbitbit og sliced bread and that touched me coz he did that at 3am and usually the stores are closed. It was sweet coz I appreciate small efforts from a guy and it caught my attention so after a week or so I gave him a letter that says I want to start a relationship with him. I couldn’t forget that moment of June 10, 2006 coz he was jumping up and down with a big smile on his face. It was my first relationship, so it was so cute and unforgettable.

Banat Hugyaw: Unsay baruganan nimo sa pre-marital sex?

For me the word “Sex” is something sacred in which I truly believe that it must be done right after marriage coz it is the only gift that you could give to your future husband. It is a gift from God in which he has given to the women in order to carry a life inside a life that is so called Motherhood.

Banat Hugyaw: Unsay gahanan nimo sa usa ka lalake? What is your ideal guy?

Trish: Nice question! Well, actually there are only three things that I want and need in a man. First and foremost I want a man who can offer me a life long commitment during a relationship because I want a man who is serious with clean intentions towards me. Second of which, is he must know how to sweep me off my feet by being romantic to me at all times coz I love that in a man and that would definitely turn me on coz I am a romantic person as well. And lastly, I want a man who is a future minded type of person coz I always think for my future coz for me it is very important than what I have in the present. On the physical appearance I just want a guy who’s tall, dark and chubby. Ambot ngano but I just can’t appreciate a masculine man with a six pack abs with no fats.

Making a stand:

Banat Hugyaw: Kung papilion ka sa imong bf (or future bf) between him and your modeling career, what would be your decision?

Jean: Well, with no doubts I will choose my career among all because I worked hard for what I have now and I am still very young to choose my love life than my career. I am well aware that there are still many things that life can offer me and I still want to achieve my goals and ambitions in life. My greatest goal in life is to make my parents proud in the near future through finishing my studies and through my career as well.

Banat Hugyaw: Kung election karong adlawa, kinsay botaran nimo pagka presidente sa Pilipinas? Ngano man?

Jean: I would have to vote for our present president, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo because she is intelligent and even if she committed a big mistake way back she still deserves a chance to be forgiven and a chance to continue her presidency only for one reason— because as of the moment there’s no one like her and there’s no one who’s better than her.

Banat Hugyaw: If you will be president, unsaon nimo pagsulbad ang maong problema nga para nimo angay hatagan og dinaliang pagtagad?

Jean: Poverty and drug addiction ang pipila lang ka mga problema nga gisagubang karon sa atong nasud. Ang hinungdan sa maong mga problema mao ang kadako sa populasyon sa atong nasud, ug ang kakuwang sa mga activities ug parental guidance. Isip presidente, maghimo ko og mga activities that would give proper knowledge to teenagers and encourage them to be community active. Ako usab paningkamutan nga makakuha og daghan nga investors from other countries aron makatangtang ug makapaubos sa kalisud sa mga Pilipino.
