Anne pang-award ang akting
With 11 days to go to Christmas, magkahalong kaba at excitement na lumulukob sa lahat ng mga participating producers with their respective entries to the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
But more than the butterflies in their stomachs at anupamang kulisap sa alinmang bahagi ng kanilang katawan, there’s pride particularly in Viva Films as it fields probably the most expensive of all entries, ang Baler which is lifted from the historical pages worthy to be told.
Ayon mismo kay Boss Vic del Rosario, aabot close to P100 million ang total production cost, which is no surprise for a period movie set against the 1898 backdrop. Having seen the trailer, even the last chip of PAGCOR (although itinanggi ni Chairman Ephraim Genuino that it had nothing to do with the project, echos!) was spent on mounting such a monumental movie of this magnitude.
What appears to be the biggest surprise ay kung paanong may tsansang manalo si Anne considering na taglay niya ang kanyang Aussie twang in a role that required having to speak Tagalog the old-fashioned way.

Professing to be a certified Kapuso artist, little did I realize na si John Lapus pala ay kabilang pa rin sa hanay ng ABS-CBN Star Magic artists? Ipinagmamalaki kasi ng naturang talent development and management center arm ang listahan ng kanilang mga talents na may mga entries to the MMFF this year.
Anyway maraming totoong Kapamilya artists ang humahataw in this year’s MMFF.
By the way, ABS-CBN Star Magic PR manager Rikka Dylim is one of brightness.
