Direk Cathy iniba ang atake kina Vhong at Toni
Although privy to his biological age, babatiin ko na lang ng happy birthday si (Tito) Joey de Leon as he turns a year older, wiser and funnier today. Without pandering, si Tito Joey na yata – in the history of local entertainment since Genesis – has worn and is still wearing too many hats yet with his shoe-covered feet firmly planted on the ground.
Name it: Cartoonist, painter, TV host, comedian, columnist, singer, composer. Kung hindi pa naman masasabing he’s not loaded with talents, let my manuscripts find its way into the editorial trash can.
A self-confessed spoilsport (read: pikon), an eccentric disciple of the arts, a Sampaloc boy exposed to a life made up of simple dreams, ilan lang ito sa mga sangkap ng pagkatao ni Tito Joey. But underneath the showbiz veneer lies a serious persona that believes that, after all, given all the course and the curse… (hahaha!) cheers are the best cures!

Looking for a cure-all to your nagging boredom? Make your October 29 your official check-up day para naman matawa, maaliw, magsenti-senti at mabusog sa bagong hatid na naman ng Star Cinema as part of its 15th loooonnnggg anniversary celebration.
Inspired by the box-office success of A Very Special Love, director Cathy Garcia-Molina springs back via a heart-warming, heart-rending love story na My Only U. With a little bit a twists and turns hango mula sa 1972 na romance-drama na Love Story (which I saw myself. Kantahin ko pa ba… “Where do I begin to tell the story how a greater love has been?”), dying din as in nabibilang na rin ang araw ng bidang babae rito (played by Toni Gonzaga) at kung paano naman ito matatanggap ng kanyang nobyo na ginagampanan ni Vhong Navarro.
Ibang attack nga lang ang ini-apply ni direk Cathy sa My Only U, even the movie poster where Vhong and Toni are suspended from a clothesline against a verdant backdrop will challenge the minds of the audience.

Speaking of challenge, kakaibang putahe ng makapanindig-balahibong panoorin ang literal na ipakakain sa atin ng TV5 as the Philippines’ Scariest Challenge rams down our throat every Friday at 6 p.m. Dahil ilang araw na lang ay Undas na, lalo pa tayong kikilabutan sa episode featuring Joyce Jimenez and Gwen Garci as they had their share of spooky experiences at the Teacher’s Camp in the cold Baguio City.
Hosted by Jomari Yllana and Cesca Litton, the Philippines’ Scariest Challenge airs on the right fright night. An entire episode on “multong bakla,” meron din kaya?
