Liezl hindi totoong may cancer - William at Yayo

PERUSE ME - Ronnie Carrasco -

Kapwa ipinauubaya ng mag-asawang William Martinez at Yayo Aguila kay Liezl Martinez ang paglantad in either confirming or denying that she’s suffering from breast cancer.

Nauna rito itinanggi ni William ang physical condition ng kanyang hipag, pero hindi kapani-paniwala (as in really incredulous!) ang pagsasabing wala siyang alam sa bagay na ’yon, and I quote: “I only see my brother (Albert) once a year, at ’pag nagkikita kami, we just talk about business.”

Hindi siyempre tuloy maiaalis na magduda ang marami (although that Startalk interview was not aired): Sa kaso nina William at Albert who are both in the country, isang beses lang silang magkita in 365 days?

If William only gets to see his younger brother once a year, simula bukas ay gabi-gabi n’yo nang makikita ang loveteam nina John Lloyd Cruz at Bea Alonzo as they reunited in ABS-CBN’s comedy teleserye, ang I Love Betty La Fea (ILBLF).

The network’s CorpComm department made us watch the press preview of ILBLF, nakunan na kasi ang first three episodes nito or equivalent to an 80-minute material at the Dolphy Theatre. Sayang, my virtue of patience wore off, hindi ko tinapos ang palabas. Had I stayed longer, marahil naabutan ko sana ang mas nakakatawang eksena true to the press release.

Sa more than 30 minutes ko kasing panonood, hindi man lang nakiliti ang tadyang ko. Nasapawan kasi ng glitz and glamor ng setting ang inaasahan ko na would deliver the element of hilarity. I couldn’t help but compare Betty with Ako si Kim Sam Soon lalo’t magkatapat sila ng time slot.

I hope Betty’s two directors (Erick Salud and Don Cuaresma) would create funnier scenes to make it more betty-ful.
