Big winner ng Pinoy Idol hindi lang dapat puro boses
Is there life after Kid Camaya and Daryl Celis’ Pinoy Idol journey? More sadly for Kid, he did not make it to the Final 3 despite all three judges’ resounding approval and collective admiration by the press.

Daryl must have taken another exit. But had we chanced upon him, we would have been equally more eager to have him sit with us.
With Kid around us, do’n ko lang nalaman that he gave up an illustrious career as a young assistant branch manager of BPI. A magna cum laude from FEU, Kid auditioned in Pinoy Pop Superstar two years ago. Nang makapasa, tinawagan siya para sa taping pero hindi niya sinipot.
Kid, who’s deadringer for John Lloyd Cruz, weighing about 200 lbs. He believed that like any other singing competition, hindi lang boses ang mahalaga. “It’s also a visual contest,” quipped the 24-year-old boy from Floridablanca, Pampanga.
If it was any consolation, marami sa amin from the press were rooting for Kid. Hindi man siya pinalad sa Pinoy Idol, he can always go back to BPI. And become a manager he’s probably destined to be.

Still on Pinoy Idol, kilalanin ang kauna-unahang kampeon nito as Jayann, Gretchen, and Ram out perform each other at the SMX of the SM Mall of Asia on August 16. Ang ultimate finale naman will be shown on August 17.
Kasamang magtatanggal ng mga idols sina Regine Velasquez, Basil Valdez, Hajji Alejandro, Verni Varga, Luke Mejares, Duncan Ramos, Jet Pangan, Cueshe, Freestyle, Itchyworms, Southborder, Pupil, Callalily, and the UP Concert Chorus.
The first Pinoy Idol grand prize winner gets a management contract with GMA Artist Center, a recording contract with SonyBMG, a condo unit at Avida Tower in New Manila, P1 million cash from SM Supermalls, and a brand new car.
But back to Kid, his determination is worth even much more.
